It’s summer, which means lots of grilling outside. Did you know that any form of cooking that involves direct heat to the meat is dangerous?

A barbecue grill can be used to cook healthy foods — as long as you grill your foods properly. Barbecuing meats on the grill adds a delicious smoky flavor and your meats are cooked without adding excessive amounts of unnecessary fats or oils. Grilling outdoors also helps to keep your kitchen cooler on a hot summer day. And remember that grilling doesn’t need to be limited to meats – you can cook your vegetables and even some fruits on your grill as well. Pay attention to how your meat is cooking when it’s on the grill.
