4 Holiday Health Tips

1. Do something active everyday

  • If you are exercising regularly then try to keep up your regular habits.
  • Take a walk after dinner

2. Fill up on healthy foods

Holiday food is generally more dense, higher in calories and sugar. If you are a guest at a party start with healthier choices then enjoy some special holiday foods. If you are the host then offer some healthy dishes alongside of traditional holiday recipes.

I know in our family we make certain dishes only for  the holidays so we look forward to this time of the year to enjoy them. Here’s a healthy raw eggnog recipe without eggs:

2 cup almond ­­­­­­­milk, 2 cup hazelnut milk , 1 cup dates, 1 tsp cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla. Blend in a high speed blender till creamy.

3. Give yourself a break

This time of the year you get invited to company events, holiday parties. You don’t have to say YES to every party invitation. Holidays is also a time to relax and recharge. Take some time for yourself, do something that will bring you joy.

4.  Reminisce

Holidays are also perfect time to reflect on the past year, to be proud of all your accomplishments and maybe set new goals for the upcoming year.
