Health Tips for Back to School

Even though it seems like the summer weather is just starting in LA it’s almost time for back to school. Parents should be reminded of the importance of nutrition and a successful school year. Nutrition and learning go hand in hand. Kids who are nutritionally fit are more likely to have the energy, stamina and self-esteem that enhance their ability to learn.
One of the dilemmas I see my sister going through every day is what to pack  kids for lunch especially when they are participating in after school programs. While I’m not a parent, I see several of my clients dealing with the same issue. As a nutritionist I want to provide you with links to several websites that offer free tips on kid friendly healthy foods, free video games that educates children about nutrition & making healthy food choices, free down-loadable coloring books, how to create healthy habits, free printable materials, and much much more. Hope you take advantage of this resources.
