Korean Self Hand Therapy

Don’t know about you but from time to time I get reflexology. No, not the $20 an hour ones that you can find on every block. I mean real reflexology, provided by a professional.

I’m sure you are familiar with reflexology, how your whole body represented on your hands & feet. The therapist addresses specific points, they can stimulate or calm corresponding organs, it’s functions hence eliminating pain, etc.

Korean hand therapy is a self help technique that was created in 1971 by Tai Woo Yoo, OMD, PhD , a South Korean acupuncturist and throughout the years became popular.

Generally you would use a ball point pen or more traditional tools like pointed probe, a roller. Today I would like to share a technique that you can do on your own to help stimulate different acupuncture points.

Please stop by to pick up your special hand acupuncture tool or just remind me on your next appointment.

Sometimes at the office I may use a point finder to locate a specific acupuncture point that correlates with your pain then use pellets or magnets to treat that point(s). It’s simple to do it yourself especially with those cute colorful tools in the video.

Please feel free to ask questions and come on in to get your own.
