Eat Chocolate Every Day!  But Eat the Right Kind…

Check out our favorite “Have a Bite Daily” Chocolate Bar here: Lulu’s

A new study out of the United Kingdom suggests that consuming a small amount of dark chocolate every day may lower the risk of diabetes and heart disease.  Their study says that “regular, moderate chocolate consumption may yield significant health benefits, particularly when it comes to dark chocolate… their findings suggest that chocolate consumption may reduce the risk of developing cardiometabolic disorders by improving liver enzyme levels and protecting against insulin resistance.”

We also like to promote chocolate that is raw, unprocessed and contains no soy lecithin. Soy lecithin has been linked to cancer, problems with reproduction and brain development.  Also, keep in mind there is a big difference between natural cocoa and processed chocolate.  Too much processed chocolate with its added sugar leads to weight gain and tooth decay.
